HER
I should have known better.
Just a wedding, they said. Double my usual pay for a few hours’ work. Easy money.
Easy enough—until the shooting started.
Now I’m on the run with a stranger.  A dangerous, alluring stranger as sexy as he is menacing.
Crazy, right? But not as crazy as me…because I’m not sure I want to get away from him.

HIM
I should have ditched her.
Bad enough that someone’s after me—someone with the stones to shoot up a mob wedding and enough power to cut me off from all my resources.
But one look in her dark eyes, and I knew I couldn’t leave her behind. Now I have to stop the people who want us both dead—and keep telling myself she’s nothing to me.
Fighting the entire criminal underworld won’t be a walk in the park…but falling for her would be far more dangerous.

So many times these days , we get suckered into reading these "so called" romances that are little more than a bunch of sex scenes and a weakly assembled plot! The author has a great idea in the form of a plot, so they write it up as such in the blurb. We read the blurb and get excited thinking it's gonna be an awesome book. Yet, upon buying and downloading said book, we are presented with drivel! It's like instead of the author working to develop the plot, they come up with so many sex scenes and leave us with a plot that plays out as if it was put together by a 2nd grader. SMH .

This was NOT the case in this book! I loved this story! I loved how the author made this story flow. There were grammatical errors, but nothing so bad that it messed up the flow.

I truly fell in love with Priest! I loved reading his point of view. He was a complex character, but was willing to give his feelings for Milan a chance. I love how the author didn't make Milan out to be "the most beautiful woman he had ever seen", instead had Priest describe her as " pretty" and had him realize as the story went that she got prettier. A true brown skinned beauty.
I like how the author made the reason they ended up on the run together believable. The MCs had a repore (I know I spelled that wrong) from the very beginning and it just grew from there. I love how they finally stopped denying their feelings for each other and came together in explosive scene after scene. I love how Milan made Priest want to be a better man for her sake. He wanted to be the man she believed him to be. And at the same time, Milan accepted Priest for who he was, violence and all. I totally loved how protective Priest was of Milan. And I definitely loved how Priest didn't pull any unbelievable Superman heroics, but it made sense how he "saved the day".

So, in case you didn't hear me, I loved this book! I totally recommend this book!!

P.S. Kaye, can you make a light-skinned heroine. My skin is not the color of chocolate and would love read about someone my complexion. Not a criticism, a request. Did I mention I loved this book!

War Romanian Mob Chronicles Book 5 edition by Kaye Blue Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Nope, I didn't connect with either character. They felt flat and one dimensional. Nothing felt believable. I get that it's a romance, but the way the story plays out just didn't feel real or plausible. The sex felt awkward and well disappointing. I want to elaborate a bit more, but it's just not worth it. I can't pin-point all the things wrong without rereading or looking back at it and I just don't want to bother.
I have been waiting a long time for Priest's story ever since the first book in the series came out. I loved the chemistry between Priest and Milan. I loved how she was able to see his true self (Nikolai). This book offered suspense, drama and romance. I read it in one sitting I could not put it down. I am glad that Milan was written as a character full of life compared to the darkness that surround Priest. It show that they needed each others strengths and weakness to make it work. I am so looking forward to reading Possess (the Syndicate Crime and Passion Series.). Priest became my favorite alpha male , I had to drop Sorin to second place.
I've been searching for the right words to say how good this book actually is and right now the only one I can come up with is fantastic! This was one well written fleshed out story with all the mystery and sexiness you can stand. The relationship between Priest and Milan is good that they act like a couple who's been together forever and the way she reads him is so good. This is one pulse pounding sexy mystery romance and you are going to be drawn in from the word go.If you have not picked up this series you are not reading because you are missing out.
After book two, this series just gets worse. A "gangster", meets a girl and in three days time is in love and neither can live without each other. This whole book happens in a nine day span and that includes days for healing. I've tortured myself enough with this series. It's unrealistic and the plots have no depth to them. It's like the author is throwing the book together just to get the series out. First two books I loved. Wasted money on the other three. Definitely will not be spending money on the rest. Time to move on to the next series and author
Milan is carjacking after catering the wedding of Visile and Fawn. The attraction between her and Priest is palatable, but they initially fight it. When Milan is endangered, the two go on the run and their inevitable attraction comes to a head in some steamy scenes. Although some things are quizzical and too easily presented, such as Priest's enemy, his motive, and how he so easily finds Priest, we get to see more of Priest's past and affiliations. Although I like Visile, I considered Priest an alpha and didn't appreciate Visile's outburst. Overall, this was a great read with lots of action. I love that the heroines in this series have no ties to the outside world when they ultimately enter the underground. In these types of stories, it makes things less complicated.
I did not do a review for the other four, but that is because I was so busy starting a new book! I loved them all! I love the fact that the Author leave the endings open for more about each character for the next book. I am sure you will have to stop with the characters in the Romanian Mob, but I loved the Males and the Women, who they loved! It was as though each couple fitted each story! I have really enjoyed this series, the readers will not be disappointed, they will just want more! This series just proved, that the coldest heart can love withe right mate! I think I will do a review on the first one to prepare the readers for all the books in the series, not tell them exactly what will happen, but be prepared for five star readings! Never a bored moment in the story line, I am so happy that I am retired, because as soon as I finish one, I can start on a new one! Now ready for your new series starting with "Possess"! Excited!
